Product Details
This very slouchy beret is quick and easy to knit, ensuring you'll have a toasty head all winter long! The cabled brim is worked back and forth first, then joined together to give a platform for the plaited crown which is worked bottom-up, in-the-round. Pattern is written in full with charts as adjuncts for those who prefer them. Rated as easy.
MATERIALS
50g Rooster Almerino DK in brim colour A (if also knitting the Winter Warmer Mittens this is sufficient yarn for both patterns)
150g Rooster Almerino DK in crown colour B
Pair 3.5mm single-point needles or as required to achieve the tension
Set of five long 7mm double-pointed needles (or 80cm circulars if preferred) or as required to achieve the tension
One large and one small cable needle
TENSION
28st x 32 rows = 10cm/ 4 inches over cable pattern A on 3.5mm needles (single strand)
21st x 20 rows = 10cm/ 4 inches over plait pattern B on 7mm needles (with the yarn held double)
