Product Details
The cowl is knitted in Aran weight yarn and, to add interest, I decided to knit half in a beautiful solid burgundy and the other half in an equally beautiful speckled “berry-like” variegated. Why not mix and match a few remnants of yarn to make a colourful, warm accessory and do a little stash-busting? Or maybe a single colour is more your style – the choice is yours. The stitch pattern is 8 stitches by 16 rows and the pattern is repeated 4 times. It’s a relatively simple lace pattern that creates a mock cable, but if you prefer you can place a marker between each 8-stitch repeat just to keep a check on your stich count and yarn overs as well as between the edging and central pattern, as indicated in the pattern below. It makes a good relaxing knit for an experienced lace knitter, but could also be a good start for a first lace knit project
