The Wren Scarf is a sumptuously squishy, delightfully decadent scarf, made by using the two-colour brioche method, but with a twist! Well actually, with 62 twists, but that’s another story… What I mean is that there is now a way of working two-colour brioche with only one pass per row.
Most two-colour brioche is traditionally worked with one colour at a time, meaning that you have to work each row twice: once with colour A and once with colour B.
NO MORE! Now you can halve your knitting time, and rattle through a scarf like this in no time at all.
The Wren Scarf begins at one end with a standard brioche rib, in two colours, and as you work your way along the length of the scarf, it starts to get peppered with elegant cables. These become more frequent, and eventually, the entire fabric is twisting itself into a beautiful, all-over cable pattern that flows like water, or tree bark, before gradually petering out again at the other end, until you are once again in plain b
