Product Details
Like the Two-Row Zaggy, the Zaggy Hat is based on a traditional garter-stitch pattern, and can be made using just about any worsted-weight yarn.
The Zaggy Hat is a great stash-buster, which is how the design for the original scarf came about. Both the scarf and the hat samples were made using two stash yarns: Schaffhauser Grace and Ironstone Mesa (discontinued). The hat took approximately 110 yards of each color in the larger size. Single-ply yarns work well for this design.
The decorative scalloped edge is self-forming. Simply follow the pattern and the stitch will create the edging.
The Zaggy Hat is worked flat and seamed up the back. The pattern in two sizes includes instructions for changing colors as well as for the optional flower embellishment.
