Product Details
Designed for 24 x 10g miniskeins of sock (fingering) but you can substitute any yarns - miniskeins or regular size skeins/balls.
Try a variegated yarn for the stocking/stockinette stitch stripes, balanced with a solid for the garter stripes. This gives an alternating bumpy/smooth textured feel, and the stockinette sections show off speckled or variegated yarns far better than garter stitch does.
This very simple pattern somehow manages to look impressive if you choose good colours! It’s suitable for beginners and inexperienced knitters, and is great TV knitting for the more expert.
The choice of yarn will affect the size. The purple/silver/blue wrap used 240g of sock/4ply (24 x 10g miniskeins) and measures after blocking 22 inches by 64 inches.
The white and neon scarf used 100g of solid sock/4 ply and 5 x 50g skeins of sock, split into 5g sections.
You can also use laceweight, DK, or even aran/worsted, you just need to adjust your stitchcount accordingly to make the size you want
