Zugin, die – substantive, female. A regional word for an accordion, German origin. Just in case you look this word up in a dictionary and don’t find it.
Zugin is a triangle-shaped shawl which is worked from the bottom to the top using an easy slip stitch cable pattern. Although the pattern calls for a light fingering yarn, it can be knitted in any yarn weight and matching needles.
Difficulty level: intermediate (slip stitch cables)
Yarn: Alize Bamboo Fine Batik Design (100% rayon from bamboo; 440m/100g; 481yds/3.53oz), 2 balls. Sample with 145cm (58in) wingspan used 660m (722yds).
Needles: 3mm/US 2 1/2 circular needle

Gauge: 27 stitches/38 rows in blocked cables pattern = 10cm (4in),
