    About

    What began as a whimsical gift for friends moving to Tucson grew into a pattern of cactus hats with matching scarves.

    Six hat sizes range from Newborn to XX-Large Adult. Adult hats can be knit "16 circular needles; Baby/Child sizes on double pointed needles – or ALL sizes can be knit using the Magic Loop. Scarves are worked on straight needles.

    I knit Red Heart Supersaver for the samples because of the wide range of greens available (especially in my stash), but other worsted weight yarns can also be used. And the hat doesn't have to be limited to green, as shown in the lilac and cream samples. The pattern includes detailed instructions, lots of photos and a gift card to print.
