Square Bolero has a flowing shape that’s brilliant in its simplicity—a simple ribbed rectangle with two small seams at the sides. Working with lace weight yarn held double is an easy treat that also blends the hand-dyed colours. Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk is soft and silky with a slight halo from the alpaca that is wonderful to work with and lightweight yet warm when worn.

Yarn Requirements: 1 skein Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk Hand-Dyed by the Kangaroo Dyer (80% Alpaca/20% Silk; 113g/865yds) shown in Pansies
Needles: US 9 (5.50mm)
Gauge: 18 sts = 4” in k5, p5 ribbing with yarn held doubled
Note: The original yarn called for in this pattern is not currently available in hand-dyed skeins. You can find a wide range of colours of Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk offered on cones that will work for this pattern.
