Traversina Shawl from Valley Yarns is worked in varying stripes of six different colours, making the most of Hatfield’s rich colour palette with this light and lovely shawl. Worked in the round in stocking stitch then cut and unraveled to create its own fringe; there’s no purling, and no ends to weave in at the end!

Yarn Requirements: Valley Yarns Hatfield (100% Baby Alpaca, 50g/437yds), about 875 yards total
colour A – 1 hank shown in Navy
colour B – 1 hank shown in Burgundy
colour C – 1 hank shown in Red Clay
colour D – 1 hank shown in Goldenrod
colour E – 1 hank shown in Leaf Green (colour has been discontinued)
colour F – 1 hank shown in Sagebrush (colour has been discontinued)
Needles: US 7 (4.50mm) 40” circular
Gauge: 20 sts and 25 rows = 4” in stocking stitch
