The book contains patterns for six afghan games, which are also available individually. They are:
Backgammon (knit)
Snakes and Ladders (knit)
Noughts and Crosses (crochet)
Granny's Ludo (crochet)
Granny's Draughtboard (crochet)
Checkmate (knit).
The games are approximately 125 cm (50") square. The originals were made in DK or Aran yarn. You can use any type of yarn but a different thickness could change the overall size.
These afghans have proved to be very popular with both groups and individual children. Children with impaired movement or problems with coordination can particularly benefit from the large scale of the game.
