**Ahlie cowl is worked from the top down and features a slight A-line shape so that the cowl will fit snugly against your neck and face. The circumference of the cowl is easily modified by adding or removing stitches in increments of 8. The height of the cowl is easily modified by working more or fewer repeats of the pattern stitch. Please note that any modifications to either circumference or height will change the finished dimensions of the cowl as well as the amount of yarn required to finish the project. **
**The cowl starts with a provisional cast on and features a folded stockinette edge at both the top and bottom of the cowl. **
