Baby garments will always be some favorite of mine, and I had much pleasure creating this basic pattern, especially designed for beginners.
I can remember being a soon-to-be mom, the joy and the excitement I felt preparing my baby’s arrival by making her/him a little cardigan. It’s with this particular feeling in my mind that I created “Aimée’s Rainbow”.
This kimono-shaped cardigan is worked in one piece, from the top down, entirely seamless. And easy and textured pattern is used all over the garment. Two buttons are needed to close the fronts.
The sample was made with La Bien Aimée Merino Twist Sock. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
