The Alba Turtleneck is a hip-length, drop shoulder turtleneck with flattering tapered sleeves. It’s worked almost entirely out of HTR/HDC in DK yarn and is very easily customisable to make as long or as short in the body as you wish. It’s a super beginner-friendly pattern, available in both UK & US terminology so you don’t have to translate stitches. The PDF is split into two parts: English terminology pp. 1-8, American terminology pp. 9-16, with little flags on each page to distinguish US/UK terminology.
Bust sizes given as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X): 100 (110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180) cm, requiring 1334 (1477, 1665, 1800, 1977, 2125, 2311, 2457, 2665) metres of DK yarn.
The garment is designed to have approximately 22-24cm positive ease (looser fit) on the bust and around 6-9cm positive ease on the arms, ensuring an oversized fit. If you’re between sizes or prefer a more fitted jumper, size down.
