The design is great for a beginner as it uses simple knit & purl with a touch of slip stitch for effect. The mock cable detail is worked on a background of reverse stocking stitch. You could easily make this scarf more generous in size by increasing the length

Materials 200g Jeanette Sloan Chunky Baby Alpaca (100m / 100g hank) or Eden Cottage Whitfell Chunky (100m / 100g hank)
Needles 6.00 mm (or size required to achieve stated tension)
Tension 16 sts and 21 rows to 10 cm measured over stocking stitch using 6.00 mm needles
Also needed Darning needle for sewing in ends and creating mock cable
Finished measurements 21 cm wide x 98 cm long
