Alkuja sock pattern is the very first pattern that I wrote and published originally in 2018. Now a year later, I have re-written the pattern.
Originally the pattern was written for only one women’s size. Now it’s available in a total of nine size options: 3 for children, 3 for women and 3 for men. I wanted to make sure that everybody should be able to find the right fit! I have also given the pattern a new look and template.
These socks are worked with Aran weight yarn and 3.5 mm dpn’s. Work your way from the cuff to toe: Fancy and textured rib in the cuff, easy to knit flag stitch pattern in the leg, reinforced Dutch heel and a beautiful instep where the pattern continues all the way to the tip of toes.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit to ensure that the pattern is as clear, correct and consistent as it can be.
