I use Stylecraft Special DK or DMC Petra to make them. Both are machine washable which means that you don’t have to worry about them getting dirty because you can just throw them in the washing machine. They also comes in a variety of cheerful colours.
The measurements are for the Uppercase letters and numbers. The lowercase letters are sized to match.
The Uppercase, Lowercase and Numbers are sold in three separate patterns. The Heart, Star, Tree and Exclamation Mark are free patterns.
Materials: Stylecraft Special DK for yarn Letters and Numbers, DMC Petra for thread Letters and Numbers, Toy Stuffing
Equipment: 3.00mm hook for Special DK, 1.50mm hook for Petra, Needle for sewing in ends.
Finished Size: 20cm/8ins tall when using Acrylic DK and a 3.00mm hook, 11cm/41/4ins when using DMC Petra/Perle size 5 and a 1.50mm hook
