This stole features the usual 7 stripes, in the proper order. Each stripe is composed of a different kind of lace, emulated in the Keepers’ Stoles. The stole is knit vertically, the stripes put together with intarsia as one knits along.
I created this pattern for the installation of TarValon.net's second Amyrlin, the lovely and gracious Vivianna Sedai, who models it in the pictures. I tend to think it has just the right notes of sophistication, complexity, and detail for those who hold this office. It's based in part on the patterns of two Keeper's Stoles I'd made previously, and further Keeper's Stoles have stayed true to the patterns in this Amyrlin's Stole.
I really hope you enjoy this pattern; I put a lot of time and love into it and had a great deal of fun making it!
