This pattern is a free version for preemies and newborn sizes, created to support “Sirds Siltuma Darbnīca” - a group of crafters who gift their handmade clothes and toys to medical facilities for premies and newborns.
ConstructionBoth bonnets are sized for small babies - preemies (born after 34 weeks) and newborns. The narrow lace edge on Annele bonnet is easy to work and looks delicate. The textured edge on Otto bonnet is neat and unobtrusive. I-cord ties that gently become lower edges give the bonnet an elegant finished look. Plenty of stockinette and small size makes this project an excellent travel companion.
