Sharf is my name for a gently crescent shaped scarf which thinks it’s a shawl. This sharf was designed for the first anniversary of the Agrarian Artisan group on Ravelry, hence the name. I made the sample in The Natural Dye Studio’s Special Merino Silk DK, which was a limited yarn but it can be made in any DK. The sharf is knit from end to end starting narrow and increasing gently until it is full width, staying straight for a few pattern repeats before decreasing back to the starting width. It is in garter stitch which means there is no right or wrong side – ideal for a sharf!
