Knit in one piece with just one ball of yarn in work at any one time. The work is joined in sections. Join as you go! A great summer project, easy to knit and useful for that impromptu game of chess in the garden! Once mastered the technique can be used to create any size of cushion/pillow or you can use the pattern to make a blanket and keep out the draughts ( joke!) It’s also a great stash busting project, each check or section can be knit in any colour or any size without the fuss of all those tiny balls of yarn required for intarsia.
