I made this beanie for my sister who's travelling to Iceland on a 4-wheel driving tour. I love the ombre stripe tonings in this yarn. I'm hoping to see some scenic photos from Iceland soon!!
This beanie uses stripes of the laddery lace pattern from my "Deep End" wrap combined with garter stitch.
I've knitted it in Knitting Fever "Painted Sky" DK / 8 ply yarn, this is a 100g ball with 200m of yarn, and the beanie only takes 1 ball to complete with a little left over, which means no joining of yarn within the beanie!
I think I'll start on a co-ordinating scarf now from the remaining yarn.
