Such a cute hat for Autumn/Winter perfect for keeping your little ones warm and cosy. Knitted flat on two needles using double knitting yarn (light worsted) in two contrasting shades...a great stash busting pattern that can be knitted in numerous colour combinations and ideal for using up oddments of yarn left over from larger projects.
Great for both baby boys and baby girls simply choose your colours accordingly. The pattern gives instructions to make the hat in 4 sizes: 0-3 Months 3-6 Months 6-12 Months 12-18 Months
SKILLS REQUIRED: You need to be able to knit, purl, increase and decrease and use a cable needle
YARN: The smallest size requires approx 45g and the largest approx 70g of double knitting (light worsted) weight yarn. I knitted the samples in Stylecraft Special DK and James C Brett Baby Shimmer DK.
NEEDLES: The hat is knitted flat 3.25mm (UK10, US3) and 4mm (UK8, US6)
TENSION/GAUGE: 24sts & 30 Rows to 10cm (4in) square in stocking (stockinette) stitch on 4mm (US Size 6) needles
