When he was a little boy, my older son referred to snowmobiles as “Askoo”. This pattern was written and knit for him the day before travelling to Northern Canada. This is a dense but squishy fabric, capable of standing up to sub-Arctic winds while out on a snow machine, or just hanging in front of the fire.
Finished Size: 9” circumference, stretches to approximately 10.5”
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Cloudgate, 90% Superwash Merino/10% Nylon 120 yards/100g 2 skeins. Amount of yarn needed will depend on foot size. Men’s size 13 feet took approximately 200 yards; Women’s size 10 took 160.
Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles size 8 US, or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: 4 stitches per inch in stockinette, knit in the round [unstretched]
