A stunning intricate lace capelet designed to keep your shoulders warm on cool summer nights or days out. The perfect cover up for weddings, garden parties and balls, it buttons delicately at the neck to keep it in place all day or night and folds up to fit in even the tiniest of clutch bags!
The pattern comes in 4 sizes. Pictured in Size XS.
Finished neck circumference (buttoned) 17 (18, 19, 20)” fastened.
Depth of finished (blocked) Capelet approx: 13 (13, 17, 17)”.
The depth of the capelet can be easily altered by adding in more or fewer repeats of Lace Chart 2. Each extra repeat of Lace Chart 2 will add approximately 4” to the depth of the capelet and will require approximately 80 (90, 95, 105) extra metres of yarn.
Can be made using any lace weight yarn. Approximate yarn requirements: 245 (270, 390, 425) metres
The lace pattern is both charted and fully written out row-by-row. For experienced lace knitters, not a beginners pattern.
The sample was knit with Manos del Uruguay Lace.
