Baby Yoda or “the Child” , the cute character from the tv-series “the Mandalorian”, was an instant internet hit and supposedly cost about $5 million to develop. Your own Baby Yoda is fortunately a whole lot more affordable plus a whole lot of fun to make!
It was made on 2.25 mm double pointed needles (UK 13, US 1) in Scheepjes Soft Fun Denim (516) sea green and Merino Soft (606) Da Vinci, Lopi Einband (0886) beige and (1038) light beige heather, and peach Tréliz Hestia.
Multi-functional Baby Yoda can be made into a toy, a hand puppet or a figurine (fitting over the inside of a toilet roll), measures 18 cm and is an easy project with straightforward, flat knitted parts that are assembled into Baby Yoda. The face is embroidered with optional crocheting and has an instance of short rows. It has quite some defining characteristics, you can decide for yourself how many features you’d like to replicate on your own Baby Yoda.
