I think of this hat as a new and unique design incorporating a beanie, beret and slouch style!
Level of crochet expertise: beginner to intermediate. The rows are very easy to see and count, and you will be using just single, double and treble crochet. There is no decreasing needed because of the way the band brings the hat in to fit your head.
The detachable flower is on a bar back safety pin so it can be removed if you prefer. It could then be used separately attached to a handbag perhaps? The hat is comfortable to wear, and is small to medium size. It measures 17 inches or 43 cm around the band, the part that fits tight to your head. It is easy to make it bigger just by using one size bigger hook.
