This Beehive Tea Cosy is made in a combination of knits and purls, and is knitted in two pieces and sewn together so you can ensure a fit around your teapot’s handle and spout. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cosy is knitted in acrylic DK yarn on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the top loop is in i-cord tube worked on two DPNs. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, k2tog decreases, and seaming to finish. The cosy is 23cm wide x 21cm tall, to fit a standard 6 cup teapot (approx. 15cm diameter, 17cm tall).
