Before Sunrise is a crescent shaped shawl with a soft and lofty look and just enough amount of drape. The sample lace mohair shawl was made with two strands of lace weight yarn held together, one of which is a smooth yarn, to add body and drape, and another one is lace mohair yarn, to add softness and luxurious feel to this accessory. The shawl can also be knit in fingering or sock weight yarn. This shawl design features reversible stitch patterns (eyelets, lace/mesh and garter stitch) that create an equally beautiful fabric on both sides. The shawl is knit bottom up and shaped with short rows technique. By changing the colours of the yarn as you progress or using a gradient yarn to show it off to its best advantage, you create the fabric with stripes and semicircular shapes.
The pattern is given in three sizes.
