Knit in the round with embroidered seeds and garter stitch leaves, these are also a useful stash buster. Bring some summer into the coldest days.
These mittens come in two sizes. A small infant/newborn size (with a diameter if 2 inches, hand length of 3 inches) and a medium 3-6 month size (with a diameter of 2.5 inches, hand length of 3.5 inches).
The pattern is written for worsted weight yarn and size 5 double pointed needles but could be knit with 2 strands of sport or DK weight held together. A heavier yarn could also result in a roomier mitten.
These are thumb-less because no one needs to waste time forcing baby thumbs into thumb holes.
These are a fast knit with a very fun result.
