Meet our knit Betta Fish. She’s cute and cuddly and looking absolutely fabulous with her beautiful fins flared out.
This Betta Fish is suitable for advanced beginner knitters and assumes an understanding of basic stitches and standard knitting terms. Our Betta Fish is knit flat and sewn together using a mattress stitch.
You will need approximately 12 m of medium weight light blue (LB) coloured yarn for the body and 22 m of medium weight dark blue (DB) coloured yarn for the fins. With this yarn, use 4 mm (US size 6) needles. You will also need a small amount of yarn for embroidering the face, stuffing (we use polyfil or wool) and a tapestry needle to sew your betta fish together. This will let you create a betta fish that’s approximately 15 cm (6 inches) in length and 13 cm (5 inches) high.
