The design for the Blackthorn Jumper was inspired by those classic cable knits that are always popular. I wanted to create a richly-textured crochet take on this classic, using a lighter weight yarn to minimise bulkiness. It looks great in a variety of 4-ply yarns including both solid colours and beautiful, multi-tonal hand-dyed yarns.
Written for sizes XS-5XL with plenty of positive ease for a slightly oversized, relaxed fit. The front, back and sleeves are each worked flat from bottom to top. They are then seamed together before working the hem, cuffs and neck in turned rounds. Length of jumper can be easily adjusted and details on this are in the pattern notes.
This pattern is written using UK terminology however a handy list of US equivalents is provided for reference.
