Détails du produit

When I first moved to New England, this top-down hooded coat would have been the perfect survival gear. It’s got a roomy hood which blocks the elements, but looks great when not in use.

This coat is worked from the top down, beginning at the back shoulders. The back is worked to the armholes, then placed on hold while the fronts are picked up from the back shoulders and worked to the armholes. Then the back and fronts are joined and the body is worked to the bottom edge. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked to the cuffs, with short-row shaping to shape the sleeve caps. The hood is picked up from the neck edge and worked to the top, with short-row shaping, then the top is joined using Kitchener stitch or 3-Needle Bind-Off. The edging around the hood and bottom of the body is worked around the entire piece, so it is very long; you will need to work it over 3 circular needles, using a fourth as your working needle.

Originally worked in Plymouth Yarns Galway Chunky.
