This pattern has both the hat and cowl / scarf pattern so you can make this amazing looking set for all sorts of occasions! The pics above show this same pattern in 3 colors: Red Tweed, Navy Tweed and Ivory Tweed by I Love This Yarn, sold at Hobby Lobby. The yarn is 100% Acrylic. Gauge: There are approx.6 sts per inch and approx.6 rows per inch.
The hat will fit around ages 10 and up. The cowl is wide enough to not only be worn as a cowl, but also as a shawl on most smaller framed bodies. Just pull it down around the shoulders and wear it to keep your upper arms warm. This is an especially great item for teens and preteens as they will wear them for a very long time.
The pompom was one I made from a very fluffy material that I purchased at a craft store.
