The simple bubble stitch gives a beautiful texture to this baby and child's bonnet.
The pattern gives instructions for 5 sizes from birth to 5 years.
There is a photo tutorial for the bubble stitch which is very easy to do.
The bonnet fastens under the chin with i-cord ties. 2 double pointed needles are used for the i-cord, but it is knit flat.
The bonnet can be knit seamless by knitting the crown section in the round, or knit entirely flat and seamed along the crown section. Instructions are given for both methods.
It can be knit in any DK yarn.
