The Cable Bay Sweater is inspired by a NZ inlet where steep hills encase a calm bay. This sweater features a delicate balance of eyelet stitches and wide cables, paired with drop shoulders, balloon sleeves and a relax fit.
Knit with DK / 8 ply weight yarn. The sweater is worked flat from the neckline down to the underarms, then in the round for the remainder of the project. The sleeves and neckline are both picked up and knit in the round.
You could even try holding yarn double. One tester had great success with Knitpicks Gloss Fingering (70/30 merino/silk) held double with Knitpicks aloft (72/28 mohair/silk).
