Cap-Sleeve Summer Cardigan

About the Design This crochet cap-sleeved crochet cardigan is the perfect evening cardigan to chase away a summer’s evening chill! Though worked in wool and merino/alpaca blend yarns, the stitch pattern is worked looser than usual, for a lacier look and lighter feel. Make one in a solid coral color, to top a colorful summer print dress, or make one in the beach tones of water and sand to top a crisp white dress.

Crochet Gauge: 1) 10 sc and 15 rows = 3″ (7.5 cm), and 2) 4 reps (24 sts) = 8.5″ (21.25 cm) and 4 rows = 3″ (7.5 cm) in patt with size J hook or size to give gauge.

Blocked Gauge: 3 reps (18 sts) = 7″ (17.5 cm) and 6 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in patt.
