Cedar Mittens

The Cedar Mittens are a perfect match to the Cedar Hat. These mittens will give you just the right amount of extra warmth and comfort when the days get colder. They are worked simply in stockinette stitch, with the tall cedar pattern enhancing the top of the mittens, starting at the ribbing and running up to the tip of your fingers. The Cedar Mittens are worked in the round, starting with a ribbed cuff embellished with a column of lace stitches on the top of the hand. The lace pattern continues on the mitten, otherwise worked in stockinette stitch. The thumb gusset is formed while knitting, and stitches are placed on hold when it’s done. The palm of the mitten is then worked on the live stitches until the length is achieved, and stitches are decreased at the top. The thumb is worked afterwards from the stitches put on hold.
