Chestnut the Reindeer

Instructions for Chestnut, her skirt, and her bonnet hat are included!

Story: Chestnut loves to help her grandfather in his woodshop. He teaches her how to repair furniture and loves to surprise her with little wooden toys. At Christmastime, Chestnut especially loves to make wreaths for everyone in their little village with the leftover branches. Her grandpoppy tells her that evergreen branches wrapped up in a circle represent God’s unchanging and never-ending love.

Stitches Used: Slip stitch, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, half double crochet in the third loop only. (There is a video tutorial link included for the 3L HDC!)

Skills Used: Starting with a magic ring, working in the the round, working in rows, working around both sides of a foundation chain, increasing/decreasing, changing color at the beginning of a round, working in front loops only and back loops only, making a pom-pom, basic embroidery.
