Based on a pattern which I first knit in 2004, these stockings are a seasonal favourite in our house. They have been used to decorate the Christmas tree, to hang as a garland across the hearth and, of course, to receive that first special gift from Santa - the one which he delivers to the end of the bed in the middle of the night! They are really quick and fun to make, with two different stripe variations and clever wrapped stitch shaping (with full and clear instructions in the pattern as to how to achieve a joint-less look). This is an ideal project for knitters of any level.
