This unusual circular shrug is knitted in the round or on straight needles in 2 sections and joined into a circle. It has a flaring rib pattern, starting with 1x1 rib and working gradually up to a 3x3 rib.
Worked in 4 ply or heavy laceweight, or even a Guernsey 5 ply weight yarn, it looks good in a sold or variegated colour. We like Perran Yarns and Eden Cottage yarns here at www.gorgeousyarns.co.uk
It is easy to wear and looks equally good with a smart skirt or with jeans. It wraps behind the neck, across the shoulders, down over the bust and across the small of the back and up over the bust and shoulder to the back of the neck in a continuous loop, and can be worn loose or fastened with a fancy pin or shawl brooch. Be prepared for lots of admiring comments about how clever you are!
The pattern is flexible, and by mixing a combination of stitch numbers, a variety of sizes can be made.
