Sock begins at the side of the toe with a crochet provisional cast on. Toe is worked flat using short rows, then stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on and the edges of work. Sock then proceeds upward in the round. The short row heel has extra height to raise the back of the heel before finishing with a brief cuff. Sample socks are size 3. Yarn used in sample socks is Less Traveled Yarn, 757 Sock Minis. Orange socks are A/Gossip Column, B/Desert Marigold, C/Spicy Salmon, D/Halston. Green socks are A/Saguaro, B/Desert Marigold, C/Cactus Flower, D/Barley
