I am very happy with how these mittens turned out. They are simple, unassuming, and very comfortable. Though they fit the hand snugly, they are ribbed, very stretchy, with no restrictions to the thumb, making them a very practical, functional mitten.
They are a quick and straightforward knit, with a thumb gusset that grows out of the ribbing. The decreases at the top are done in the round, similar to the top of a hat.
There are 6 sixes in this pattern: a woman's XS/kid's 6-8 through a men's XXL. The smallest size uses 72 yds, the largest 211yds (just over a skein). There are also instructions on making all sizes into fingerless mittens.
