This beautifully textured bag is knitted in horse chestnut colours and resembles a conker in its prickly case. The drawstring cord is a pair of knitted life-size conkers threaded onto garden string.
Children will love using the bag for fallen conkers or as a seasonal ‘going out’ bag. It is also perfect for party gifting at Halloween and Thanksgiving. Extra knitted conkers can be threaded onto lengths of string and turned into a safe game for younger children to play, or hung as decorations for Autumnal celebrations.
Both bag and conkers are very simple to knit, using regular needles and small amounts of chunky / DK yarns. The pattern uses brown chunky fluffy yarn for the middle portion of the bag, but you can substitute plain brown chunky if you prefer.
