First started as a gift for my father, I ran out of time and had to make him something simpler. But this pattern soon became a favourite with me, so I made one for myself instead. I love this design of 'scarf', as it's comfortable, practical and stylish - it doesn't get caught in zips but keeps the wind out, even around a V-necked coat or jacket.
This is a pattern for knitters who are happy with cabling, as every right-side row is cabled. It's not quick to make, but it is rewarding, and I hope you'll enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it.
