Dancing Poppies Crochet Afghan Square Pattern

I present to you, "Dancing Poppies" who are dancing away and beckoning me with their sweet, nodding heads somewhere in those imaginative fields. “Dancing Poppies” is an afghan square pattern with poppies like design popping out of the squares. It has an interesting raised texture due to the use of front and back post double crochet.

I’m celebrating the first day of spring today with my new pattern. When I think of Spring, my mind brings up a picture of flowers, lots and lots of them. I see fresh, dancing flowers sun-kissed in a field somewhere hidden in “Valley of Flowers”. I imagine touching them while their pleasant perfume waft through the air. Yes, that's my true romantic soul speaking. ;)

Skill Level: Intermediate

Suggested Yarns: I Used: Lotus International (India) Laura Knitting Cotton. Colors: #White, #104 Lavender, 1 ball each.

Crochet Hook Size: 4.5mm/ US 7 size crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

Finished Size: 5 inches on each of the 4 sides.
