A splishy splashy ocean inspired knitted toy, - well I live by the sea and we do have the odd pod now and again!
This one is 34cm long and garter-stitch knitted in easy care cotton yarn so he can be washed - having said that he can also be made larger in chunky yarn with large needles (see my Ravelry page) - or smaller.
I've designed him to be knitted as simply and as quickly as possible, with minimal seams, whilst retaining his streamline shape. I also have added toy eyes but if you wanted to make him for very young children may I suggest embroidering on eyes instead.
Also he isn't over-stuffed making him rather cuddly and pliable - just like a dolphin (knitted version) should be!

- I've suggested 2 x 8mm toy eyes - but only if the toy is intended for a child over 3 years - if under then use DK yarn to embroider on the eyes
