A reversible shawl, worked top-down and from the center out, alternating between garter and eyelet sections and finished with a sideways worked lace edge. Pattern is written and charted.
Smaller version uses one hank of fingering yarn (about 400 yards) large version used two hanks
Note on gauge: it's better to go down a needle size, than run out of yarn.
The name has a special meaning to me. Seamus Doodlebug was the mischievous cat of the owner of the yarn store where I worked & who supported me in getting my designs going. He passed away last fall and I wanted to thank her by honoring him.
