Dover Castle Shawl is an easy relaxing knit that becomes very rhythmic. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize and your knitting will be easy to read. The shawl can be knit with only one skein of any sock yarn, but can be easily expanded to a larger size if you are lucky enough to have more yarn. It is top down construction beginning at the neck edge with just a few stitches.
The pattern includes both charted and written instructions.
Any fingering weight wool or wool blend will work well with this pattern.
The sample shown measures 48" wide by 22" deep. The sample shown used approximately 325m.
Gauge is 20 sts to 4" over stocking stitch, unblocked
