This design was very much inspired by my daughter's love of the K-Pop band, BTS.
One day she showed me a sweater that her favourite band member, Taehyung was wearing. It was a creamy colour with what looked like a modified Old Shale motif all over it.
Being the good BTS mum that I am, I thought I would try to knit her something that was influenced by this sweater. Bryony loves fingerless mitts and wears a pair to school every day, so this seemed a good starting point.
After much thought and lots of swatching, the Dynamite mitts were born ! These are a fun and quick knit, perfect for anyone - not just for BTS fans !
The pattern comes in one size to fit an average ladies hand, 7 to 8 inches in circumference. This can be easily adjusted by changing needle size or yarn weight. The pattern is written for the magic loop method, but other methods can be used.
The pattern includes a video tutorial on how to work the thumb increases. I used just under 50g of fingering weight yarn.
