This shawl design reminds me of waves lapping on the sand. It's a fairly simple design with an easy cable on the edge, perfect for a confident beginner. You should be comfortable working with post stitches and simple cables.
The sample is made using three skeins of Madeline Tosh Sport, but any sport weight yarn can be substituted. You can also make this shawl in any weight yarn, but your yardage requirements will vary. (Yardage information is not provided for any other weight.)
